Support the work at the right location
A workstation serves the operator and the mounted equipment at the same time. Share the task, reach zones and connection points so the fabrication package addresses both the working surface and the space around it.
The slotted mounting plate sits on the working surface, above a frame with open space between its legs. Equipment attachment, working height, and operator clearance are coordinated in the project layout.

- Work height and reach
- Provide the working position and task requirements. The suitable surface height depends on the user and the work, so it belongs in the design input.
- Equipment loads and mounting
- Identify the footprint, local loads and any vibration or operating forces for design and scope review.
- Knee space and service access
- Show seated clearance where needed and access to cables, adjustment points and removable equipment parts.
- Feet and purchased components
- Specify leveling feet, anchorage and any top or accessory supplied by others so mounting details match.
Connect the frame to the working surface
Review the stand, mounting plates and accessories as one installation.
Review the working layout
Confirm height, clearance, equipment interfaces and the approved load requirements.
Fabricate the supporting metalwork
Cut, form and weld the frame, top and brackets to the released drawings.
Finish and prepare the assembly
Coordinate coating and specified hardware, then deliver the agreed assembled or component state.
Route connections beyond the work surface
Equipment connections need room beyond the mounting footprint. A connector projects from the housing, and its cable needs space to turn before it passes through the top. Placing the opening beside the equipment keeps that transition away from the working area.
The rear view shows one cable passing into a formed tray below the top, then leaving at the side. The opening and tray work together to keep the route behind the operator’s knee space. Set their positions around the actual connector envelope and the cable manufacturer’s bend requirements.
