Machine Housings & Covers
K-Display fabricates machine housings, shrouds and covers around your equipment layout. We coordinate formed panels, mounting features, hardware and finish so the exterior fits the machine and the service work it needs.
An exterior that fits the equipment
A housing has to meet the frame, clear the components and come apart in a useful sequence. Define the machine envelope and service zones first; then we can review the panel geometry, attachment details and supplied assembly.
The separated side cover reveals the mounting tabs and the opening used for equipment access. Reviewing those interfaces with adjacent panels helps define attachment and removal clearance.

- Panels with the specified fastening pattern, handles or installed hardware.

- Interfaces that connect the sheet-metal exterior to your equipment frame.
Keep fit, access and appearance connected
- Mounting datums
- Identify the frame reference points and mating hole locations. Panel alignment should follow the equipment geometry, not an accumulation of panel edges.
- Removal clearance
- Show the space needed to lift, slide or swing a cover clear, including access to the fasteners that release it.
- Panel gaps and visible faces
- Mark the gaps and surfaces that matter visually, along with acceptable joints and finish requirements.
- Protective function
- Identify any panel that also acts as a machine guard. Its approved protective geometry and attachment requirements belong in the fabrication package.
Coordinate the housing as a panel set
Reviewing mating panels together helps resolve closure, access and finish details before production.
Review the panel interfaces
Compare the housing model with the frame, component envelope and removal paths.
Cut, form and fit the parts
Produce the panels and brackets to the released geometry, with hardware features coordinated across the set.
Finish for the assembly
Apply the specified finish and masking, then supply loose panels or the agreed assembly condition.
Check the cover in its installed surroundings
A machine can fit beside a wall while its side cover cannot come off. The folded edges need room to withdraw from the housing before the panel can be moved away. Check that movement in the installed layout, not just the outline of the closed machine.
Follow the actual attachment and removal sequence with nearby walls and equipment in place. Check that the panel can be withdrawn and carried clear; if the surroundings block that path, the panel split or removal direction may need to change.
