K-Display manufactures metal machine guards and access panels to your approved design. We coordinate the formed barriers, mounting brackets and specified hardware around the attachment points and access requirements in your equipment package.
Fabrication around the approved guard design
Guard openings, attachment and access arrangements serve a protective purpose. Supply the approved geometry and inspection requirements; we review how to manufacture the metalwork and preserve those features through forming, joining and finishing.
The fixed panel bolts to the frame while the orange access panel opens on hinges. Their different attachments determine how the barrier is retained and how service access is provided.

- Specified hinge, latch and interlock mounting features; device selection and safety validation remain with your design team.
Preserve the features that make the guard work
- Openings and stand-off
- Provide the approved openings and distances to the hazard, including the reference surfaces used to measure them.
- Attachment and retention
- Specify fixed or removable fasteners, hinge orientation and retention details for access panels.
- Interlock interface
- Share the selected device model and its mounting geometry where an interlock is part of your design.
- Service sequence
- Show the panel swing or removal path and the access needed for planned service tasks, including fasteners that must remain reachable.
Carry the guard geometry through fabrication
The fabrication review connects barrier geometry with attachment and hardware details.
Review approved parts and interfaces
Confirm drawings, openings, attachment points and the required inspection records.
Form and join the metalwork
Manufacture the panels and supports to the released design and agreed weld requirements.
Install specified hardware and finish
Coordinate coating clearance and hardware installation with the required delivery condition.
Locate the interlock with the panel
Where a non-contact interlock is specified, its sensor and actuator sit on different parts of the guard assembly. The closed view shows how their metal mounting features bring the two halves into alignment; opening the panel carries the actuator away with it.
Bracket offsets, panel returns and the finished mounting surfaces all contribute to that relationship. Review them together with the selected device’s mounting drawing and the panel’s hinge and closure geometry. The required orientation and spacing come from that device’s instructions, rather than from the panel gap alone.
