Equipment Frames & Weldments
K-Display fabricates equipment frames, bases and weldments to your assembly drawings. We review the mounting geometry, weld requirements and finishing scope together so the supplied structure is ready for the next stage of your equipment build.
Establish the geometry for the next assembly
A welded frame becomes the reference for everything mounted to it. Identify the critical mounting faces, hole patterns and dimensional checks before production, including any features that need machining after welding.

The mounting plates provide attachment faces above the welded members. Crossmembers and gussets connect those interfaces within the base assembly.
What we manufacture
- Equipment bases
- Fabricated base assemblies with specified mounting plates and support members.
- Support frames
- Welded members arranged to the equipment envelope and released structural design.
- Mounting plates and gussets
- Cut and formed interfaces for equipment attachment and local reinforcement.
- Fabricated subassemblies
- Repeatable welded units supplied as the defined portion of a larger machine.
Control the interfaces that follow welding
- Assembly datums
- Identify the reference faces and points used to inspect the finished weldment and locate the equipment.
- Weld access and distortion
- Specify weld symbols and critical dimensions so fit-up and joining can be reviewed together.
- Machined interfaces
- Call out post-weld machining, flatness or threaded features early so the full scope can be assessed.
- Loads and installation
- Supply the approved structural design, operating loads, and anchorage interfaces so the drawing and acceptance requirements can be reviewed together.
Connect fit-up, welding and final inspection
The released drawing and acceptance criteria guide the manufacturing sequence.
Review the assembly definition
Confirm members, plates, datums, weld requirements and any post-weld operations.
Fabricate and join
Cut and form the components, then fit and weld the assembly to the agreed drawing requirements.
Check and finish
Inspect the specified features and coordinate finish, masking and delivery condition.
Keep the mounting bolts accessible
A mounting hole can be clear on an empty frame and difficult to reach once the equipment is seated. The mounting foot, plate overhang and nearby frame members determine whether a nut can be fitted and a wrench can engage it.
Check the joint with the equipment in position, including access to hold the bolt head and room to turn the tool beneath the plate. A crossmember or gusset can leave the hole exposed while blocking that movement; resolve the fastening sequence before releasing the weldment.

The plate overhang puts the nut beyond the post, where a wrench can approach it. Check this access with the equipment seated: the mounting hole may be clear while a nearby frame member blocks the tool.
