Choose by what the part holds

Mounting brackets are L, Z, U, and offset forms, welded where they need a gusset, that carry a housing, manifold, or panel off a frame.

Mounting and backing plates give components a flat face and hole pattern, back a thin panel at a fastener, or close an enclosure opening with gland cutouts.

Cable and sensor brackets are small, built around one component, and usually carry a slot for adjustment. Conveyor rail and frame brackets are on the Conveyor Guards, Covers & Brackets page.

A formed bracket establishes an offset, a plate provides a flat mounting pattern, and a small slotted bracket allows a component to be positioned. What the part carries determines which geometry starts the job.

Hole sizes and bare faces depend on the coating

Powder coat narrows holes and slots and covers every face that is not masked, so on all three parts we size holes and slots for the finished part and mask mounting faces, bonding pads, and threads.

Cutting, forming, hardware installation, and coating happen in one shop, and hardware goes in where the geometry allows: before forming where a flange would block the press, after forming where it sits clear, and always ahead of masking and coating.

Finish changes the surfaces that meet other parts. Threads and designated contact faces stay bare, while holes and slots are sized for the coated part that will actually be assembled.
